About Me

I’m Jacob Wilson, a criminal defense attorney based in Nashville and serving clients across Middle Tennessee. I represent people at some of the hardest moments in their lives — and I take that responsibility seriously.

If you’re facing criminal charges, I’ll help you understand your options, protect your rights, and fight for the best possible outcome. I don’t believe in scare tactics or sugar-coating. I give every client honest advice and real support.

Legal Background

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee, then earned my law degree from UT College of Law, where I graduated with honors, served on the Tennessee Law Review, was named to the Order of Barristers, and led the trial team to its most successful run in school history — finishing at the national level.

After law school, I began my career in state government and corporate practice, but I always knew I wanted to build something of my own — a practice where I could work directly with people and do meaningful work.

Since 2018, my practice has focused almost entirely on criminal defense. I’ve represented hundreds of clients in General Sessions and Criminal Court — handling charges ranging from DUI and drug possession to serious felonies, juvenile cases, and immigration-sensitive matters.

how i work

You won’t be treated like a case file here. I listen. I explain. I show up.

Whether we’re negotiating a second chance or preparing for trial, I tailor your defense to your life, not just your charges.

I treat every case with the same level of care I’d want for someone I love — and I take pride in building trust with clients from all walks of life, especially those who don’t always feel heard in the system.

Why This Work Matters

I didn’t leave big institutions just to work for myself — I left because I wanted to do something real. To show up for people when the stakes are high, and to fight for fairness where it’s often lacking.

I care deeply about my clients, and I believe in helping them move forward with clarity and dignity. I don’t just want to win your case — I want you to feel like someone actually stood up for you.

A Bit About Me

I live in Nashville with my wife and two young kids. When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with family and friends, walking our dog, or trying to stay in shape while eating at restaurants as often as possible.

I believe in kindness, honesty, and being fully present — in life and in law. I try to bring a sense of grace to this work, too — in how I treat people: with respect, understanding, and the belief that everyone deserves to be heard.

  • If you’re facing criminal charges — or helping someone who is — I’ll give you straightforward answers, steady support, and a strong defense.
